It's time to make your Suns Bright with this Breakfast Ronto Wrap copycat recipe! Available at Ronto Roasters in both Disney World and Disneyland, this galactic spin on a breakfast sandwich has us hooked!
Ronto Roasters has already amassed a cult following thanks to the much adored lunch/dinner version of the Ronto Wrap (roasted pork, grilled pork sausage, peppercorn sauce, and tangy slaw wrapped in pita bread). While the two overlap in some ways (pita, sausage and peppercorn sauce), the morning Ronto Wrap is packed with:
"Eggs, grilled Pork Sausage, Shredded Cheddar, and Peppercorn Sauce in Pita Bread"
It's hard not to love all that's going on here! From the fluffy warm pita bread, to the snappy sausage, to the zesty peppercorn sauce. Add egg and cheese, and this one is sure to please most Jedi, especially ones with big appetites.
It's worth making it to Ronto Roasters nice and early, since this one is only served during breakfast hours. As a bonus, this one is handheld, so you can enjoy it while shopping in Batuu or in line for a blue milk. We love that, when you make this at home, you can have it morning, noon, or night!
Linguiça
A note on the sausage: This is NOT breakfast sausage! This is likely a type of Portuguese sausage known as linguiça. It's juicy, spiced, and has a nice casing that snaps when you take a bite. If you cannot find linguiça, look for smoked and uncured all-pork wieners with a natural, snappy casing and no added flavor (i.e. avoid "Italian," "Cajun Style," etc.).
Peppercorn Sauce
Peppercorn sauce is the heart of our Breakfast Ronto Wrap copycat recipe. If you're a fan of condiments like we are, we recommend a really thick layer of it! It's nice and creamy, with a little zest from the small amount of horseradish mustard and vinegar. The spiciness of the sauce, which we hear has been tamed down since the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, is thanks to freshly ground Szechuan peppercorns.
The spice blend we use here, McCormick Gourmet™ Global Selects Szechuan Pepper Salt & Spice Blend, isn’t too spicy (affiliate link)! It is a lovely, savory mix of Szechuan, pink, green and black peppercorns, coriander seed, and sea salt. This recipe was crafted using this spice mix. If you substitute your own Szechuan peppercorn mix, please know that you will have to adjust the amount to taste. We recommend not using just black peppercorn as the flavor comes from the peppercorn mix.
Egg Patty
One key difference in the Ronto Wrap’s morning version is the addition of delicious egg. Disneyland features scrambled eggs, while Disney World has a scrambled egg patty. While both are fabulous, we prefer the egg patty for its portability. The egg patty in Disney World's Morning Ronto Wrap stays put, so eggs won’t come tumbling out of your wrap as you eat it.
Batuuan Beverages
For a drink to accompany your wrap, the list is endless thanks to Ronto Roasters, Oga's Cantina and Docking Bay 7's strong drink game. Diznify has created so many copycat Galaxy's Edge drink recipes, you're sure to find one that pairs well with your wrap. Moof Juice, which has an orange juice base, is a terrific breakfast drink. May we recommend adding champagne for a Moof Juice Mimosa? Cheers!
Supplies
- A round, oven-safe dish with a 5-inch flat bottom (to bake the egg patty). We recommend using a glass or ceramic dish. If you use porcelain, the cook time may be reduced by several minutes. Do not use metal bakeware!
Note: If you don't have a dish this size, you can make your egg patty as big or small as you'd like thanks to our Scrambled Egg Patty recipe. We used both Pyrex glass storage containers and CorningWare stoneware ramekins and casserole (affiliate links) and they worked great! - A cast iron grill pan (affiliate link) is optional, but recommended if using a stovetop to heat the gyro bread and sausage(s). This type of pan makes nice grill marks!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Hellman’s light mayonnaise
- 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon horseradish mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Global Selects Szechuan Pepper Salt & Spice Blend (affiliate link). This spice blend includes black, pink, green and szechuan peppercorns, coriander seed and sea salt.
- Cooking spray
- 1.5 tablespoons water
- 1/6 teaspoon baking powder
- 1.5 large eggs *For additional egg patty sizes, see Notes section below.
- 6 to 8 inches of smoked, mild pork sausage(s) / Portuguese linguiça. *For more info on sausage type and length, see Notes section below.
- 1 round, 6" or 7” gyro bread (pocketless pita) We recommend Kontos brand gyro bread.
- 2 tablespoons cheddar cheese, finely shredded
Instructions
- Make the peppercorn sauce. In a small bowl, add the mayonnaise, vinegar, horseradish mustard, and freshly ground szechuan peppercorn blend. Stir to combine.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees Farenheit.
- Make the 5-inch scrambled egg patty. Start by spraying a round, oven-safe glass or ceramic dish with a 5-inch flat bottom with cooking spray. If you don't have a dish this size, see the table in the Notes below for additional sizes and recommended ingredients. Please refrain from adding more egg than what's recommended for the size of your dish, as the egg will not cook properly!
- In a small bowl, combine the water and baking powder. Add the egg and whisk thoroughly. Pour the egg mixture into the greased, oven-safe dish. The oven cook time varies widely based on the type of dish used, so we recommend peeking at the egg around 10 minutes, then check every minute until done (ours was done after 12 minutes). The egg is done when the center is set/dry to the touch. Finally, season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Heat the sausage(s) on a grill or in a pan on the stovetop according to package instuctions.
- Warm the gyro bread on a grill or in a pan over medium heat for 5 to 30 seconds on each side, or until warm.
- Assemble the wrap: Start by placing the warmed gyro bread on a plate. Then add the egg patty, some of the peppercorn sauce, sausage(s), more peppercorn sauce (if desired), then top with cheddar cheese. Adding peppercorn sauce is akin to dressing a sandwich with mayo. If you typically like a lot of mayo, don't hold back.
- If you'd like the shredded cheddar to be melty, heat the assembled wrap in the microwave for 30 seconds before devouring.
- We recommend pairing your wrap with a nice, cold glass of copycat Moof Juice (see recipe here). Enjoy!

Notes
SAUSAGE TYPE: This is NOT breakfast sausage! If you cannot find linguiça, look for smoked and uncured all-pork wieners with a natural, snappy casing and no added flavor (i.e. avoid "Italian," "Cajun Style," etc.). SAUSAGE LENGTH: Disney's Ronto Wraps use long sausages spanning the entire length of the gyro bread. If the sausages you purchase are shorter than the gyro bread, you may use choose to use more than 1 sausage and cut the sausage down to achieve the right length.

Yum, definitely saving this recipe to make! I had the sandwich in WDW and it was very good. The sauce sounds delicious so I can't wait to make it!
