By following our copycat recipe, you can now try a version of the most drinkable beverage in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, the Tatooine Sunset, at home! In Black Spire Outpost, the Tatooine Sunset is the only non-alcoholic drink sold at Ronto Roasters in Batuu East (Disney World), famous for its savory Ronto Wrap. In Batuu West (Disneyland), it's one of four non-alcoholic drinks, including the always excellent Sour Sarlacc (see copycat recipe here).
As per the Ronto Roasters menu, the Tatooine Sunset is:
Gold Peak® Unsweetened Tea, Odwalla® Lemonade with Melon and Blueberry
Flavored by both iced tea and lemonade, some would say this is the Arnold Palmer of Batuu. But, of course this Arnold Palmer dazzles with both blueberry and melon flavors!
We love the drinkability of the Tattooine Sunset! Thanks mostly to the blueberry syrup, it's sweet enough to dazzle our tastebuds. But as its base is a lighter iced tea, and not a sugary juice, we could drink a whole pitcher of this. If you aren't a tea drinker, don't let that steer you away. The added lemonade and syrups mask the iced tea flavor.
Like most Galaxy's Edge beverages, the color (and flavor) varies a bit from batch to batch. All summon, in varying degrees, the look of a gorgeous orange Tatooine Sunset, a la Star Wars: A New Hope.

Can I use unsweetened Black tea? It seems I can only find unsweetened black tea at the 4 stores I’ve searched including bevmo! Which sells beverages.

Yes, Gold Peak unsweetened tea is unsweetened black tea. So any unsweetened black tea should get the job done.

This drink recipe is really tasty and refreshing. I did first have it at Disneyland star wars and was awesome. This one is soo close I’d like to do a proper taste test to see how accurate it is. But so far, pretty darn good! Good job on recreating it!

Thank you, Sophia!

I'm sorry, but no. This tastes Nothing like the Tatooine Sunset at Ronto Roasters in Disneyland. There's way too much blueberry and not enough tea and lemonade in this mix. It tastes much closer to the Meiloorun Juice, which is super sweet whereas the Tatooine Sunset isn't as cloyingly sweet and has a stronger tea flavor, with a hint of tangy from the lemonade.
I've been playing around with it and am much closer to what I had just a few weeks ago when I was there last:
8 oz unsweetened tea (Gold Peak)
2 oz lemonade (I used Simply)
1/2 oz each blueberry and cantaloupe syrups
Serve over ice.
